How to use screen fills
In this tutorial I’ll be using this screen fill:
If you don’t like that fill you can choose one from here.
1. Type in your text and do it up, once you’re done, we are now ready to apply the screen fill.
2. Grab your screen fill you can get one here, open it with ImageReady and you should end up with 3 layers.
Note: You must open the screen fill with ImageReady for it to work.
3. Now go: File > Edit in Photoshop or press Shift + Ctrl + M
4. You should end up with the screen fills in Photoshop with 3 layers. 5. Now on the first layer, make sure the eye icon (
) is on and the layer is highlighted like the image:
6. Now go Edit > Define Pattern

7. A window should pop-up looking something like the image below, name it whatever you want then press OK.

8. Now Define Pattern to the rest 2 layers.
9. Once done, go back to your text you had.
10. On your text layer grab the Magic Wand tool (
), click somewhere outside the text then Select > Inverse or Ctrl + Shift + I
11. This is what should have happened.

12. Click for the Paint Bucket tool.

13. Above you should see something similar to this, there is a drop down menu select "Pattern"

14. Now refer to the image below, click on the PINK circle, should come with a bunch of patterns, find your first pattern you defined, click on it.

15. Create a new layer to do this go Layer > New > Layer... or Ctrl + N or you can follow the image below. Click OK.
16. On this new layer, with Paint Bucket Tool, and the selection still around your text. "Click" on the text. Your first screen fill you defined should be on your text! Looking something like this:

17. Now on the same layer on your layer palette there is a drop down menu, change it to "Screen"

18. So now you see a difference! Repeat from step 12 to 17 with the other 2 screen fills and your results should end up with something like this.
